Intel Video Driver Update

This is an incompatibility between touch screen monitors and certain versions of Intel's video drivers. Several users have reported that previously functional systems "just started doing this" - this is a result of automatic updates, which many users have enabled, and which automatically may install these video driver versions.

To correct the problem, please update the video drivers as follows.

To boot successfully, hold down the F8 function key while restarting the computer. When the Advanced Options Menu appears, select Safe Mode. When boot is complete (it may take a while) delete the current video driver (Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Intel Extreme Graphics Driver, Remove). Restart the computer when prompted.

Cancel the Add New Hardware Wizard.

Download the Intel video driver update. Note that this driver is for Windows XP or 2000.

Double-click the downloaded driver file and follow the installation wizard prompts.
