The Cisco DP-9800-KEM= is a hardware Key Expansion Module (KEM) designed exclusively to expand the line and feature capacity of the Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series. It provides 40 additional programmable lines or feature keys across two pages of 20 physical buttons, making it an ideal workflow tool for receptionists, executives, and high-volume call managers.

Compatibility & Hardware Expansion
The DP-9800-KEM= is built for specific Cisco Desk Phone 9800 models and cannot be deployed on older 7800 or 8800 series hardware. The expansion behavior changes depending on your phone model:
- Cisco Desk Phone 9851: Supports a maximum of 1 KEM powered entirely over Power over Ethernet (PoE).
- Cisco Desk Phone 9861 & 9871: Supports a maximum daisy-chain of up to 3 KEMs.
